Terracotta City where the Pots are pretty
I haven't written a blog post for years - so what was it that inspired me to put pen to blog after all this time?
It's my deep love for terracotta pots.
I know.
I've been obsessed with these terracotta pots that I can't afford (see the top spots) which has sent me on an online lockdown ramble to find something similar or that fits my terracotta criteria.
Criteria 1: Must be terracotta
Criteria 2: Must be suitable for outdoors
Criteria 3: Modern, but classic
So here we are, my top 10 of the most desirable outdoor terracotta pots known to wo-man.
Just a heads-up that if you're not interested in a range of terracotta pots from the high street to luxury pot heroes in France, then this list isn't for you.

Ikea INGEFARA with Saucer
I really like the modern shape of these and think the saucer would make a really nice bird bath too. They're not available online, so we'll have to wait for the shops to open. Corr, there's nothing like something being unavailable to make it more desirable eh!

B&Q Mali White Washed Plant Pot
If you follow me on Insta you'll know I'm often singing the praises of B&Qs garden department and their hellebores have given me a small piece of life this lockdown. These are a solid contender. Big, classic and cheap. A few different sizes too.

Scalloped Antique Rose Plant Pot
On the smaller side, but I really love the scalloped edge on these small pots. Very scandi. Everything is nice on The Future Kept to be fair.
On the smaller side too, Low Key have some really lovely, carefully crafted stuff. Not least, the Low Key x Paradisverkstaden collab for their range of simple terracotta pots with saucers.

Eav Plant Bowl in CANyon orange
Look at this elegant bad boy from Hortology. I have something very similar to this which I love and would be lovely as a centre piece of a table with herbs or strawberries. Although strictly speaking I don’t think this is actually made of terracotta, but it’s my list. :-)

TERRACOTTA CYLINDER POT AT THE MUD HUT
I couldn’t do a ramble on pots without a shout-out to The Red Mud Hut on Columbia Road. A few years ago I bought a couple of pots similar to these and I still love them. Available in 20cm - 50cm so you can get a little family.

Olive Jar from Rutland
Rutland know their pots. Look how proud he is with this £5k beast?
But looking for something a little less the size of a car? Then these olive jars are lovely. We have one and after years or growing all sorts of things from olive trees (their main purpose I believe) to rhubarb, it now has a glorious hosta and is the focal point when you look out the window. However, you don’t event need anything in it. I think Monty D just has his as a focal point.

Kiln Home
So much love for Bristol based Kiln Home and their carefully crafted statement pieces.
Their Instagram is worth a follow too… I mean.

Bergs Terracotta
To be honest I could choose a few from Bergs Potter, the Galestro, rope edge of the Emilia and the outdoor cylinda ones are all doing it for me and that's why they are no. 2. I don't think there isn't a pot in their range that I don't like. Somebody there has very very good taste in pots, no surprise they're Danish.
Their Instagram is a treat too….

Poterie Ravel
I love these pots so much I want to live there. I'd basically lie in the Augergne sun all day, eating cheese and drinking wine and admiring the pots.
Look at them.
The curves, the glazed tops and big bellies. Just so good.
